Ryan pg. 2
Ryan suddenly had tears in his eyes. He looked at me & said, “I can’t go to be with Jesus. I can’t fly.” “You’ll be
able to fly,” I explained. “Jesus will give us a new body…one that can fly.” Ryan continued to ask me about this new body. He wanted to know what he would look like,& whether we would recognize each other. After answering several questions, I finally explained, “You will never hurt again.” Ryan had spent the last 4 yrs dealing with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) & the many procedures, medicines, & pain that went with it…this he understood. I can still see the big grin on his face. Heaven…no doctors, no medicine, no joint injections, no painful procedures.
I also went on to explain how gold is considered a precious metal, showing him my wedding band. I let him know that the streets are actually paved with gold in Heaven.
A little after dinner, Ryan came to me. He was upset & said, “If I die, I won’t go to Heaven.” I told him, “We can take care of that.” We prayed together after I talked with Ryan. (I used the same scripture Paul used at Ryan’s funeral.) I introduced Ryan to Jesus & someday he may be given the privilege of introducing me to Jesus.
