REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES...
Ryan 2004
Try to remember the good things about Ryan. That's what God wants us to do. He doesn't want us to forget Ryan, instead he wants us to make plans to see him again.
Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Always remember...Ryan wasn't perfect, but neither are we. There are some things I would like for you to know, things I want to be remembered.
There are times I remember a conversation I had with Ryan when he was 9 yrs. old. The kids and I were sitting at the table getting ready to eat dinner
(Mike was working at the time). As you can probably imagine, things are different when you sit down to dinner with 3 young kids (Brandon was 5-6, & Laura was 2-3 yrs old). Ryan started the conversation by asking, “Mom, what’s Heaven like?”
I was taken by surprise & tried to think fast. What would Heaven be like to a 9 yr old boy?
I don’t remember all of his questions, but I remember explaining how Jesus would someday return to take us all to Heaven to be with Him. I suddenly gave a loud whoop, startling the 3 kids. The kids jumped, then laughed. I explained, “Jesus will return some day with a shout & the Christians who have died will rise to meet Jesus in the air. The ones of us that remain will follow them& rise to meet Jesus. He will then take us to Heaven to be with Him forever.”
